We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2021, at the age of 79, John Anthony Matthews (Urbana, Ohio), born in Mount Sterling, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Matthews and Faye Matthews (Shadley); his wife Wilma Sue Matthews; and his grandson Robert Reed. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Gamble (Gary), Sherry Kite (Miles), Michelle Kearns (Oscar Cid), Patricia Flohre (Josh) and William "Bill" Matthews (Lisa); his grandchildren, Julia Moffitt, Kayleigh Kearns, Aaron Moffitt (Clarissa), Elyssa Kearns, Haleigh Stemen (Jordan), Kaitlyn Matthews, Madelyn Flohre, Noah Flohre and Ayden Kite; his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jayde, Bayla, Amari, Berlyn Bryleigh, Bently, Tyrus, Wyatt, Treston and Wilco; and his sisters, Margaret Slygh and Nellie Ramey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Wearing of masks and social distancing is highly encouraged.
