Joann Evans Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Evans of Urbana, Ohio, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Swank and Kay Swank (Broderick); her siblings, Diane Swank, Darwyn "Gus" Swank and Will Swank; and her brother-in-law Robert Kerr.
She is survived by: her husband Allen "Al" Evans Jr.; her children, Jerri Lynn Criner (Greg) and Chad Burks (Chona); her grandchildren, Zach Henry, Chad Jr., Christopher and Cora Burks; her great grandchild Chase Hix; her siblings, Sandy Deane (Skip), Judy Kerr, Dee Dee Mendenhall (Dana), Connie Roberts (Danny), Debie Watkins (Todd) and Roger Swank (Shirley); her sisters-in-law, Ruthie Swank and Donna Swank; and her caregiver Francine "Frankie" Kriesel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home (257 W Main St, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
