It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M Schafer of Urbana, Ohio, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schafer and Margaret Schafer; his aunt Jeanie Everhart; and his siblings, Sue Wagner and Robert Schafer.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Schafer (Frost); his children, Mike Schafer (Beth), Steve Schafer (Tammy), Tami Cox (James Taylor), Carol Hunter (Brett) and Larry Schafer (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Erin, Kara, Jessica, Jordan, Emily, Sam, Chelsea, Logan, Jake, Ashley, Cole, Ryleigh and Clayton; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Leila, Everett, Andrew, Isaiah, Avery, Charlie, Abe, Molly, Max, Junie, Reagan, Lincoln and Kennedy; and his brothers, Munsell Schafer (Linda) and Doug Schafer (Carolyn). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
