He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Spellman Sr. and Flossie Spellman (Crane); his wife Cynthia Spellman (Millner); and his brothers, Robert L. Spellman Jr. and William Spellman.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacy L. Owens Jr. (Richard); his grandson Richard "Richie" Owens III; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Spellman, Susan Spellman, Marsha Allen (Phil) and David Millner (Debbie).
