He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Mercedes Thomas; and his wife Oleta Huffman. He is survived by: his father Herbert Calvin Thomas Sr.; his siblings, Maria Jones (Dan) and Homer Byron Thomas; his daughters, Jessica Thomas-Raska (Matt) and Julia Thomas; his niece Monica; his nephew Matthew Jones; his stepchildren, Matthew (Amber) and Brittany Slone (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Calliope Raska, Lydia Huffman, Tristan Huffman, Gabrielle Huffman and Zachary Huffman.
