He is survived by: his wife Janet Carpenter (Harris); his son David Carpenter (Samantha); his sister Christine Carpenter Stiles (Gregg); his sister-in-law Jean Poffenberger; his niece Emily Stiles; and his nephews, Clint and Brett Poffenberger.
