He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Holycross and Mildred Holycross (Coe); and his siblings, Melvin Holycross, Betty Stockman and Charlotte Gorton.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (McNutt).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jennings Farley and Seeley Funeral Home (5591 US-68, West Liberty, OH 43357). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Even though the world was starting to shut down due to COVID, Floyd's determination did not deter him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Union County Foundation for the Blake Gorton Memorial Scholarship Fund or to the Union Chapel Community Church.
