He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert and LaDonna Hopkins Sweeting; his sister Julia Ann Sweeting Sands; and his son-in-law David Woeste Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Lynn Berger Sweeting; his daughters, Brecke Elizabeth Sweeting Pohl and Beth Andrea Sweeting Woeste; his grandchildren, Lily, David, Josh, Anna, Wesley and Jonathan; and his siblings, Roger Lincoln Sweeting (Lily Jean) and Gerald Wayne Sweeting (Barbara).
In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to The Rotary Foundation, The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, or The Champaign County Library.
