He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Howell and Barbara Howell (Church); his siblings, Jeffery Lynn Howell, Jennifer Ann Howell and Donnetta Howell Reeves; and his daughter-in-law Octavia Howell.
He is survived by: his sons, Kalen Howell (Brenda) and Jeren Howell; his sister Susan Moore (Darryl); his brother-in-law Leonard Edward Reeves; his grandchildren, Tyeal, Klarissa, Sophia, Kalen Jr. and Jeren Jr.; his great grandchild Amaiya; and his aunt Mary Jane Dunklin (Howell). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
