She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sr. Harper and Garrie Harper (Battle); her husband Hugh Walker Evans; her stepson H. Allen Evans; her siblings, Linda Thomas, Earlean Blackwell and George Harper, Jr.; and her brother-in-law John Blackwell.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Evans, Hope Embry (Lamar, Sr.), Yvette Evans and Tyson J. Evans; her grandchildren, Lamar Embry, Kiersten Embry, Willard "Danny" DeArmond III (Tenika), Nicholas Perrin (Erica) and Kyle Perrin (Genesis); her sister Nina Harper; and her close friends, Sarah Janet Seward and Delores Embry. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
