He was predeceased by: his father Wilbur Hill; and his stepfather Jack Seward. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Seward (Robinson); his daughter Cassandra Hartke (Brian) of South Carolina; his grandsons, Alexander and Caleb Hartke; his sister Karen Thomas (John); his stepsiblings, Sheila Williams, Rollin Seward and Cynthia Alexander; his aunt Betty Howell; and also Kathleen Breckenridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
