He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett L. Trautwein and Lovena M. Trautwein (McCollough); and his son Jeremy Trautwein. He is survived by: his wife Anita L. "Neitz" Higgins; his daughters, Jodi Smith (Nathan) of Cape Coral, FL and Jill Lee (Patrick); his grandchildren, Haley, Caley, Jaxen and Macie; and his siblings, Rebecca Blue (Jeffrey), Arlington, Dennis Trautwein (Ann), Dalton and Jeffrey Trautwein.
