He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Pool (Dorothy) and Shirley McClain; and his brothers, Donald and Jody Pool. He is survived by: his stepmother Dorothy Pool; his spouse Jan Swinehart; his sons, Josh Pool of Upper Sandusky and Jamie Pool (Rachel) of Upper Sandusky; his grandchildren, Lane and Logan Pool; and his siblings, Curtis Chatfield of Forest, Jesse Chatfield of Bucyrus, Terry Chatfield of Upper Sandusky, Missy Frey (George) of Upper Sandusky, Colleen Clark of Upper Sandusky and Tara Balliet (Kurt) of Sycamore.
