He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sr. Phipps and Viola Phipps (Freshley); his stepson Mark Schwenning; and his grandsons, Sam Phipps and Benjamin John Schwenning.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Schwenning (Cable); his children, Susan Phipps of Central Point, Dave Schwenning (Jean) of Bucyrus, Don Schwenning (Valerie) of Upper Sandusky, Tom Schwenning (Nataliya) of Crestline, Tim Schwenning (Ronda) of Palmetto, Georgia and Matt Schwenning (Mary Anne) of Carey; his grandchildren, Ryan, Eric and Michael Phipps; and his sister Bess Ramlow of Maumee.
