It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Castanien of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, who passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Castanien and Mary Castanien (Kusterer); and his siblings, Doris Stahl, Robert and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy P. Nordick; his son Timothy G. Castanien; his grandchildren, Jeri Denice Hardeman (Dave), Abagail, Emily Castanien, Destini and Miranda Hufnal; and his sister Shirley Reed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot Memorial Hospital or Emanuel United Church of Christ, and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
