He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Murphy and Mildred Murphy (Rhoads); and his siblings, Beulah Williams, Lowell Murphy and Howard Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Crystal Scott; and his grandchildren, Izaiha and Blake. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
