He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvi Carrier and William "Bud" Carrier; and his brother Conrad Potemra (Susie). He is survived by: his wife Cathleen (Cathy) Carrier; his children, Laurie Olver (Matt), Patrick (Cynthia), Christopher (Sarah), Ryan, Adam Olver, Eva, Scarlett, Natalie Carrier, Finn and Brooks Carrier; and his siblings, Sheila Leet (late John), William Carrier (Judy), Lynn Lavezzi (Bill), Beth O'Hare (Ken), Paul Potemra (Joanie) and David Potemra.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests gifts in memory of Neil be made to Church of the Gesu.
