It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie Herbert Berenstein of University Heights, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Freddie Herbert's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Jack; his children, Todd Berenstein and Kim Piunno (Sandro); and his brothers, Michael [Yossi] (Judy) and Danny Berenstein (Joann). He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A shiva was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Home of KIM & Sandro Piunno of Kim (6394 Longridge Rd, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Park Synagogue in memory of Freddie H. Berenstein.
