He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rita; his children, Charlie Smyers (Debbie), Chad Arfons (Lisa), Suzanne Morris and Presian Burroughs (Brad); his grandchildren, Juliette, Seth, John, Chris, Justus, Jack and Makaria; his nephews, Mark Smyers and Jeff Smyers (Susan); his parents, Charles V. Smyers and Emogene Sumpter Smyers; his brothers, Ed and Mike; and his caregivers, Tava Royston, Melissa Carrick, Yvonne Boreman, Liz Borsellino and Steve. He was also cherished by friends and family.
