“I just found out about Joan's passing. My sincere condolences to her family. I was a Stony Brook University co-worker also. She was a wonderful person and a good friend. Always caring, and never an unkind word. We and some others enjoyed lunches together in our retirement. She is loved and missed I am sure by all who knew her. Rest in peace sweet lady.
