He is survived by: his sons, Chris Carpenter (Karen) of Toledo and Rick Carpenter (Renee) of Barnesville, Ohio.; his siblings, Robert Fraley (Nora) of Bethesda, OH and LaDonna Moore (Ronnie); his brother-in-law Freddie Moore of Beallsville, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Shawnda Carpenter, Cory Carpenter, Sydney Carpenter and Cody Carpenter.
