He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvadore Garafolo and Antonina Garafolo (Crimaldi); his former wives, Charlotte (Bruckman) and Theresa (Ricciardi); his wife Helga (Hingst); and his siblings, Angie Antos, Tony Piporo, Bessie Pisciotta, Jimmy Piporo and Mary Hawanczak.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Walters (Steve), Mary Davis (Patrick), Diana Baskin, Patricia Justus (Danny), David Lange (Linda), Vonnie LaRue (Al), Dan Lange (Donna), Heidi Coup, Wendy Leslie (Mike) and Tammy Gayhart (Pablo); and his goddaughter Nicola Ricciardi. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
