She was predeceased by: her parents, Menno Troyer and Nancy Troyer (Miller); her husband Vernon J. Sommers Sr.; her grandsons, Jason, Tyson Sommers and Rob Eklich; and her daughter-in-law Arlene Sommers.
She is survived by: her children, Ben (Marie Sommers), Naomi (Wayne Hershberger), Mose (Liz Sommers), Vernon Jr. (Carol Sommers), Marie Mullenix of Canton, Esther (Loren Sommers), Kenny Sommers of Hartville, Nancy (Jim Killian), Cal (Cheryl Sommers) and Rosy (Tony Anderson).
She lived a long healthy life for 96 years until a brief battle with Covid.
