He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Emrick (Bannon); and his siblings, Susie Nettie Martin, Dwight Emrick, Darrold Emrick and Raymond Emrick (Pee Wee).

He is survived by: his children, Billy Ray Emrick (Cindy), Rick Emrick, Tina Colby (Michael) and Becky Rapier (Ernest); his grandchildren, Brandon Emrick (Alicia), Justin Emrick (Angel Pierce), Jessica Gilbert (Jon), Terah Colby, Michaela Clark (Ben), Danielle Colby, Nicholas Colby, Amanda Rapier (Alan Brown), Lindsey Rapier (Carl Husted) and Luke Rapier (Bayle Paul); and his siblings, Shirley McCammon of Winchester and Norman Emrick (Priscilla) of Union City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
