He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Johns and Norma Johns (Shunk); and his wife Cynthia M. Johns (Holmes). He is survived by: his children, Leslie S. May (Johns) of Union City and Jerry L. Johns of Union City; his granddaughters, Chantle Candy, Gabrielle Candy, Success Brody and ShyAnne Mays; his great grandchildren, Qwindal Thomas and Velazquez Candy; and his sister Bea Guthrie of Patty Lippard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
