It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Ben Abel (Union City, Ohio), born in Union City, Indiana, who passed away on September 1, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Kenneth Abel. He is survived by: his parent Alda Ruth Abel (Hough); his wife Vera Jean Abel (Gibson); his daughters, Sandra Huntwork (Ron) of Union City and Jeanelle Hiatt (Daren) of Union City; his grandchildren, Russ Reichard Jr, Darick Hiatt and Megan Hiatt; his great grandchildren, Oaklee, Ava, Addison Reichard, Brody Hiatt and Jay Hiatt; his brother Kerry Abel (Mona Belle) of Lake Placid; his aunt Mary Gillespie; and his stepgrandchildren, Nickie Huntwork Bush and Christi Huntwork Weaver. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Community United Methodist Church, or the Mississinawa Valley or Ansonia Schools Athletic Boosters with envelopes available at the funeral home.
