He is survived by: his parent Grace Elizabeth Akins (Galehouse); his spouse Joan Cecilia Coomes; his children, Thomas M. Akins, Jr., John M. Akins, Tracy M. Akins (Cheryl), Troy M. Akins, Tim M. Akins (Pat) and Jann M. Bales (Gary); his son-in-law John Gibson; and his brother Terry Akins (Sharon). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Christians United for Israel in care of John Hagee.
