He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cox and Bernice Cox (Ridgeway); his daughter Sherry Cox; and his siblings, Tim, Clyde Cox and Marie Napier.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Cox (Hammer); his children, Garry Cox of Uhrichsville, Connie Hollinger (Randy) of Bolivar and Bonnie Metcalf (John) of Uhrichsville; his siblings, Larry Cox (Junie) of Midvale, Jerry Cox of Uhrichsville, Douglas Cox (Harriet) of Zoar, Steve Cox of Uhrichsville and Sandy Shepler; and his grandchildren, Michelle Taddeo (Vincent), Johna Metcalf and John Metcalf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
