He is survived by: his son Derek Ickes of Medina; his grandchildren, Tyler, Jaden, Emma Murphy and Dustin Murphy of New Philadelphia; his children, Elizabeth of Dustin, II, Josette Murphy and Ryan Murphy; his siblings, Richard Murphy of New Philadelphia and Dorothy Crowder (Dave) of New Philadelphia; and his close friend Ellen Varnes of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
