He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurell Laton and Laura Annis Burdette (White); his wife Laura Janice Burdette; his brother Leroy James Burdette; and his brother-in-law Bob Clarke.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Evelyn Vivian Burdette; his son Calvin Burdette (Denise); his grandchildren, Sue, Amanda, Jerry, Presley, Christina and Jennifer; and his siblings, Jacqueline Ann Burdette Clarke, Diana Kay Burdette Gibens (Danny) and Floyd Melvin Burdette (Cathy). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
