He is survived by: his mother Donna Stephens Dowdle Criss; his wife Samantha McEndree Dowdle; his children, Tessa Heter, Tiffany Hay, Ashley, Wesley, April Dowdle, Alysha Schick, Destiny and Gabrielle Dowdle; his sisters, Carla Istenes, Shannon Norris, Darlene Dowdle and Betty Markovich; and his great-aunt Barbara Elliott. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
