He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph and Ella Joseph (Green); his former wife Carrie Maxine Joseph (Hunter); his children, Esther Lynn and Micah Steven; and his siblings, Edna, Daisy and Norman.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Joseph, George Joseph III (Kathy) and Carrie Joseph; his sister Hazel Lewis; his grandchildren, Hunter, Larkin, Jent Joseph, Tariah Fisher (Jose) and Makayla Joseph; and his great grandchildren, Zalayah Fisher and Jose Fisher Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
