He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Nichols and Iris Lucille Nichols (Garey); his great grandchild Theodore Edward Crites; his son-in-law Harold Kimble; and his brothers, Victor Nichols, John Nichols, Conrad Nichols and Wilson Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Ann Sandra Nichols (Seese); his children, Christine Kimble, Gary Nichols, Jr. (Janet), James Nichols, Beverly Cox (David), Jackie Gribble (Eric), Jane Nichols and Melissa Sanders (Henry); and his siblings, Charles Nichols (Ginger), Dwight Nichols and Janie Knight (Donald). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
