He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Bower Hillyer and Marcella Irene Hillyer (Staten); his sisters, Karen Kirk and Lorie Hillyer; and his grandson Zachary West.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Bryant Sowers (Kylie), Logan Sowers, Courtney Sowers, Laycee Striker (Trevor), Riley Deardorff, Sydney Deardorff, Eddie Edwards, Alexis Smith (Hayden McAfee), Jake Smith, Peyton Smith, Brayden Mitchell (Megan) and Cayleah Fulp (Braxton); his great grandchildren, Madison, Camden, Lilah, Branson, Ember, Elliot, Hayes, Cooper, Cole and Laikyn; his siblings, Randy Hillyer (Marian), Deb Peterman (Dale) and Cindy Peterson (Joel); and also, Marie A. "Toni" Hillyer (Green), Heather Sowers (Carl), Pamela Edwards (Toby), Jennifer Smith (John) and Christine Mitchell (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
