He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bland and Mary Bland (Bier); and his sons, Dean Jr. and Jacob Albert. He is survived by: his children, Christine, Jennie, James, Jesse, Mary and Donald; his siblings, Rosanna L. Handy (Luther), Teresa K. Hines (James), Cathy S. Bickford (Timothy) and Raymond S. Bland (Carol); and his fiancée Linda Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
