She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Joy Hollo (Richard) and Jeffrey Mueller (Gayle); her grandchild Erin Franklin Wynieski (Justin); and her sister Annette DiGiovanni.

In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested donations be made the Cleveland Metroparks in her name.
