He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Daisy Howard Bankhurst; his wife Marilyn Dunch Bankhurst; and his brother John William Bankhurst. He is survived by: his children, John Bankhurst (Ryan Kin) of Chicago and Jane Bankhurst McMullen (Glenn McMullen) of Aurora, Ohio.; and his brother Arthur Bankhurst (Lois) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and hundreds of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (21 Aurora St, Hudson, OH 44236).
