She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Clarence "Sonny"; her children, Wendell "Dell" Astrop Jr. (Nicci), Christine Rochelle Brooks (Paki) and Kevin Michael Astrop (Carrie); her grandson Jacob Arron Matthews; and her siblings, Ruth Abernathy (David), Joyce Dilworth (Eddie), Gary (Annie Bea), Leon, Timothy, Bruce and John Steward (Marilyn).
