He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Grace Sotzing (Hershey); his wife Joyce Ann Sotzing (Myers); and his brother Edward "Ned" Sotzing. He is survived by: his children, Tamara Smith (Scott) of Arcanum and Andy Carter of Englewood; his grandchildren, Lucas Jackson (Tristin) of Greenville, Lane Jackson (Taylor) of Vandalia, Isabella Smith of Troy and Abigail Shuemake (Brian) of Dothan, AL; his great grandchild Knox Jackson of Vandalia; his sister Julieanne Hallman (Harry) of Charlemont, MA; and his close friends, Allen and Nancy Massie of Piqua.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (53 S Norwich Rd, Troy, OH 45373). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trissel Cemetery's. Diamond.
