Lina Pearl Abernathy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2025, at the age of 88, Lina Pearl Abernathy of Troy, Ohio, born in Clay, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lina Pearl Abernathy to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Abernathy; her sisters, Edith Jeffrey and Doris Curry; and her half-brothers, Herbie Scalf, Merle Scalf, Boyd Scalf and Billie Scalf.
She is survived by: her children, Paul (Hayley Abernathy) and Diane Jay (Stan Kenworthy); her grandchildren, Heather (Shane Driver), Holli Beltz, Heidi (Ryan Scullen), Ben Abernathy, Bailly Abernathy, Emma Abernathy, Ethan Abernathy and Beau (Jennifer Jay); her sisters, Patti Bishop and Nora Hershey; and her half-siblings, Edna May, Flo, James Scalf and Freddie Scalf. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Bradford (134 W Walnut St, Bradford, OH 45308). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County.
