He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard and Agnes Susan Payne (Hines); his son Charles Micah Payne; and his sisters, Barbara Arnett and Linda Lucille Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Payne (York); his brother-in-law Tony York; his children, Richard Payne of Piqua and Anita Rowe (Tracy) of Troy; his stepson Richard Bothel of Piqua; his siblings, Karen James of Troy, Patricia Lambert of Arcanum and Shirley Persinger of Troy; and his grandchildren, Richard A. Payne, Travis McKaig and Robbie McKaig. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
