Janice left this world on April 25, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Struewing and Pauline Struewing (Kirkham); and her sister LeRae Dick. She is survived by: her husband William A. "Bill" Schaefer; her children, Jill Simons, Jim Schaefer (Pam) and David Schaefer (Lisa); her grandchildren, Michaela of Ryan Jacob, Will and Alex; and her siblings, Helen Andreas and James L. Struewing (Marte). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baird Funeral Home (555 N Market St, Troy, OH 45373). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (101 Riverside Dr, Troy, OH 45373).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jan's memory to St. Patrick Catholic Church or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
