She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Morrissey and Geraldine Morrissey (Hillebrand); her daughter Debbie Durand; and her sister Joan Mottard. She is survived by: her husband James L. Shaeffer; her sons, James A. Shaeffer of Troy and Daniel L. Shaeffer of Troy; and her sister Jerilyn Kolba (James) of Mauston, WI. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
