He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Susan Burnett (Comer); his children, Victoria Lynn Baute, Randy Burnett (Joyce), Amy Mallicoat and Joe Burnett (Gwen); his stepchild Sydney Naylor; and his siblings, Vivian Hageman, Carl Burnett, Faye Seward and Fred Burnett. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Del's memory may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
