He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiliam Evans and Alma Evans (Wieser); his son Brian Evans; and his siblings, Kass, John and George Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evans (Montague) of Troy; his children, Bridget Ayala of Columbia, Tom Hoenie (Stacey) of Tipp City, Christina Knittle of Fort Wayne, Melinda Hoenie of Vandalia and Eddie Hoenie (Alicia) of Dayton, Ohio.; and his brother Lear Smith of Shamockin Dam, Pennsylvania.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
