He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brooks Sr. and Georgia Mae Nowlin. He is survived by: his children, Nina Ivory (Bill), Tranell Brooks (Jennifer) and Jasmine Brooks (Kenneth Holsinger); his grandchildren, James, Isaiah, Jordan, Aaron, Kaedyn, Gabriel, Shaelynn, Kaleb and Mahayla; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Penelope; and his sisters, Denise, Karen (Jerry), Cheryl and Shonda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
