He is survived by: his wife Kimberly; his children, David Dinkins Jr. (Nickole), Shawn Blanks, Katina Banks and Adrienne Barnes (Donte); his siblings, Fred Dinkins (Kathy) and Mary Horne; his mother-in-law Mary Blanks; his siblings-in-law, Johnny Blanks, Anthony Blanks, Gregory Blanks (Shay) and Donna Simmons (John); his grandchildren, Devon, Aaron, Lee, Tyreese, Amiya, Tyrone, Ariana, Derrick, Jacob, John, Zyanne, Calvin Jr., Aniyah (Kaysie), Grace, Thomas and Darris; his great grandchildren, Carlea, Devon Jr., Aerial, Amirrah, Amir and Bracken; his nieces, Rene' and Christie; and his close friends, Reverend Jackie Robinson, Larry Hutchins, Mathew Monie, William Austin and Anthony Mitchell. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church (5301 Olive Rd, Trotwood, OH 45426).
