He is survived by: his children, David Barnett, Donnie Barnett, Jason Proffitt, Shonda Mitchell (Derrick) and Amy Doyle (Jeff); his grandchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Terrance, Austin, Hunter, Shelby, Christyanna, Desirae, Brayden, Teaghan, Annabell, Amanda, Donnie and Kayden; his great grandchildren, Ava, Ariya, Easton, Serenity, Kyrie and Amari; and his siblings, Eddie Barnett, Connie Wells (Tommy) and Lisa Barnett.
