He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rice and Cecilia Rice (Nistler); and his siblings, William Rice, James Rice and Sue Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Karla Rice; his daughters, Veronica Rice, Rebecca Laws (Johnny), April Schneider (Walter III) and Diana Frodge (Timothy); his grandchildren, Samantha Alcorn (Shawn), Johnathon Laws, Michael "Nate" Gray, Timothy Frodge Jr., KaSarah Laws, Kayla Schneider and Alyssa Davis; his great grandchildren, Aiden Laws, Ava Alcorn and Jackson Alcorn; and his sisters, Laura Jones (Richard) and Sherry Evans (Tommie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
