He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lee (Carr) and Paul Steven Prater; his brother Robert Scott Prater; his half-brother Jack R. Crull; and his brother-in-law Terry Whitt.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paulette Whitt, Virginia Gentry (Guy) and Tony Prater (Lee). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the V.A. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to be used for the charities they support.
